Cardenas
This is a real Cuban town. Just east and South of Varadero. There are almost no tourists here. This church with a statue of Christopher Columbus their claim to fame. Yes, and their native son Elian Gonzales the young boy who was the focus of US Cuban conflict a few years ago. Apparently the government cleaned up a small part of this town for the journalists visiting to cover the story.
