Isle of Palms Beach
When you look at map of Charleston you'll see islands. Well the blue that you see on the map is just swamp, not the blue ocean that you might imagine.
They have dredged a channel in the swamp to get boats in and out. Some of the ramps to the docks across the swamp are 200 or more meters long.
Remember Bubba Gump's (from Forrest Gump) shrimp boat fleet that sunk in a hurricane, well it's been rebuilt. This day there are about 10 within sight of the beach.
Not nearly as commercial as Florida beaches. Just beach homes all along the shore.
We're just coolin' off ya'll.
Now that's a different kind of driftwood.
