Middleton Place
Thanks to the generosity of our fabulous friend the Morrisons, we visited the Middleton Place Plantation last Saturday.
And we're off.
These are the ruins of the original house.
A large group of black kids from North Carolina were on the tour. The group leaders had some good questions, like:
Lots of slaves died on the plantation, where are they buried? The plot denoted as the slave cemetery is only about 100 feet square. This obviously not enough room.
